Make It Easy to Follow Up with Your Leads

I believe you’re leaving money on the table if you do not follow up with your business’ prospects.

I’ll explain how you can use systems and automations to help you follow up.

Why is following up important?

Not everyone is ready to buy your product or service right away. 

They might need more time to think about it, research options, or get approval from others. 

Or they simply might forget your business even exists.

If you don’t follow up, your business is missing out.

There’s a problem though…

If you’re a business owner, there’s a lot you already need to do in your business.

Some of that you enjoy, some of that you don’t enjoy.

In many cases, you’re going to forget to follow up yourself.

That’s how systems and automations can help you remember to follow up.

There are a few different ways to set up a follow-up system:

  •  Reminders for yourself – You can set reminders on your calendar or to-do list to follow up with specific people later
  • Automatic CRM reminders – Most CRMs have the ability to create tasks or reminders. And these it’ll send you a notification for when that date arrives.
  • Automatic emails – Other programs can send pre-written email sequences to people to give them more information and remind them about you over time. 

 

There is a trade-off though…

Completely automating the process like the last suggestion often becomes less personalised.

Because you’re trying to find a template of-sorts that would make sense in most situations.

But if a prospect receives an email that is too generic, or obviously automated, it’s a lot less impactful.

With tools like ChatGPT, it’s a lot easier to automate our emails or messages, and personalise them.
